Delhi sightseeing
After a healthy breakfast you will be taken for combined tour of Old & New Delhi. Sightseeing of Old Delhi includes visit to Jama Masjid, the splendid mosque built by king Shah Jahan, where thousands of Muslims offer prayers. Afternoon visit Itmad-Ud-Daullah's tomb. Less visited but much admired, it bears striking mosaics inlaid with sparkling stones. Agra - Fatehpur Sikri – Jaipur (223 kms / 5 hrs)
Now it's the time to drive to Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan. Enroute stop at Fatehpur Sikri, the former capital of the Mughal empire built by emperor Akbar the Great beginning in 1570, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Start your day with an excursion to Amber Fort built of red sandstone & white marble. Here you will get the chance to enjoy an elephant ride. In the afternoon enjoy the city tour which includes a visit to Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) which still speaks the traditions of royal families, as well as the Jantar Mantar Observatory – another UNESCO World Heritage Site. Jaipur - Delhi (257kms / 05 hrs)
In the morning after breakfast visit Gwalior Fort situated on rocky sandstone. The fort was built by different rulers during different periods. The fort hosts Teli ka Mandir, a Shahastra Bahu temple of Vishnu. Also visit Lashkar Jai Vilas Palace & Museum, a palace of royal Scindia family which has been partly converted into a museum.
