Chandigarh - Nalagarh
To embark on the Himachal heritage tour, the base destination will be Chandigarh from where the trip will start and end at. Soon after your arrival in Chandigarh, our representative will meet you and arrange for your travel till Nalagarh, the first destination in this circuit. Once you arrive there, you will be transferred to the hotel where you could retire for the night.
Nalagarh - Chail
Post breakfast, proceed towards Chail, a quaint and sleepy hill station but nevertheless very beautiful. Post lunch; explore the beauty and charisma of the place which even left the British spell bound. Dinner and overnight stay is arranged for you in the hotel here.
Chail - Shimla
On the 3rd day of the tour, the trail of Himachal heritage will now move towards Shimla, often known as the 'Queen of hill stations'. Shimla being the capital of Himachal Pradesh is often the most visited city in the state. Also, owing to the number of tourist resorts and shopping areas housed here, visitors flock to this place in great numbers. However, before you reach Shimla, you will also be taken to Kufri, which is a small hill station most visited for its ski track. Kufri is also popular for its hiking and trekking tracks and wildlife lovers can also feast themselves to the abundant wildlife found here including a number of antelope and tiger varieties. By lunch you will reach Shimla and after treating yourself to a sumptuous meal, you are now ready to explore the city.
Shimla - Manali
On the 4th day you will move further northwards to Manali, the gateway to the fascinating Rohtang Pass. Post breakfast you could start off your trail so that you reach the destination well in time. Also, there are a number of surprises stored for you on the way as well...
The first place, on the way, you will stop at is Sundernagar. Here you can treat your eyes to the fascinating views of the Sundernagar Lake.
The next stoppage would be at Kullu, which is most popular for its yearly Dusshera celebrations. However, it has other attractions too, to entertain you, if you were visiting it at other times! A few of the foremost ones to name in the order are the Bijli Mahadev temple, Raja Rupi Kulu Palace, and the Bajaura temple. After Kullu, visit the Pandoh Dam before finally you arrive in Manali.
Manali
One of the significant points of the Himachal heritage tour is the trip to Rohtang Pass. Adventure enthusiasts from all over the world come here to take part in adventure activities like rock climbing, para- gliding, rappelling, and alsoskiing. Even for guests, these temples are very revered and it is said that a prayer here never goes unanswered. The temples in this list are the Hadimba temple, theVashisth temple and the Manu temple. A number of Buddhist monasteries also dot the area. In the evening you could visit the vibrant markets that sell from anything between local 'Himachali' stuff to imported items. Manali - Palampur
In the morning of the 7th day, the trail heads towards Palampur all the way taking you through Jogindernagar andBajinath. The ancient temple in Bajinath, famous for its Himachali architectural styles, is also a very revered place of worship for the locals and tourists alike. By evening you will arrive in Palampur. Check in to the hotel and allow the cozy comforts of the hotel to completely arrest your senses...
Palampur - Dharamshala
Your sightseeing trip to Palampur will begin with a visit to Andretta Potteries, a hub of numerous artistic activities. TheTaragarh Palace and the Al-Hilal palace are the other noteworthy attractions of the area. Post lunch you will arrive at theChinmaya Tapovan trust and from here, straight away head towards Mcleodganj, Dharamshala; your next destination in line. On arriving here, check into a hotel to rest the weary soul in you.
Dharamshala - Pragpur
Dharamshala is one of the most visited hill stations in the country, owing to its religious significance. The backdrop of the Dhauladhar Mountains adds to its beauty by manifolds. Whether it is for the Hindu temples or the Buddhist monasteries of Mcleodganj, devotees and tourists alike throng to this place, all throughout the year. The Norbulingka institute, the St. John's church, the Bhagsu Nag temple and the Chamunda Devi temple; all are places of great veneration. You could also visit the Kangra Art Museum for its exotic art collection.
Post lunch; proceed towards Pragpur, the last stopover in the circuit. On arriving here by evening, you can check into the hotel and finally retire there for the night.
Pragpur - Chandigarh
On the 10th day, you will finally leave for Chandigarh, your base station, before you embark on your journey back home. This brings the Himachal to an end.
